The Veterinary Experience Both You and Your Pet Will Enjoy

Dr. Lindsey Gent was raised in Abingdon, a small town located in southwest Virginia. She was fortunate to grow up working in veterinary medicine alongside her dad, who is also a small animal veterinarian. Her love for helping animals and their people prompted her to become a veterinarian. Dr. Gent attended undergraduate school at Virginia Tech where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences. She then pursued a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). Dr. Gent and her fiancé, Noah, live in Summerville with their two senior pups, Marley and Hokie. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with Noah and their furbabies, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, and going to the beach. Dr. Gent’s professional interests include senior and geriatric pet care as well as soft tissue surgery, preventative care, and internal medicine.

Dr. Susie Han was raised in Minnesota and graduated with her B.S. in Animal Science as well as her D.V.M. at the University of Minnesota. She has a passion for both human and animal health and thought she wanted to pursue a career in lab animal medicine. She spent one year between her undergraduate and doctorate studies focusing on comparative medicine research at the Mayo Clinic and was published in the Journal of Radiology. Ultimately, she decided to pursue a career in clinical veterinary medicine as her passions include companion animals, the bond we share with them, and building lasting relationships with families. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, exotic medicine, preventive medicine, dentistry and oral surgery. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her spouse Nolan (Dr. Harris), two dogs; Nelly and Maddie, Charles the rabbit, Coach the bearded dragon, and Gary the gerbil. She loves the beach and likes to stay active with lots of biking, walking, hiking, and golfing. When she is not spending time researching and learning about veterinary medicine, she loves tending to her gardens and reading historical fiction.

Dr. Nolan Harris was born and raised in northeast Indiana. He attended Purdue University for his undergraduate studies where he received a bachelor’s degree in Biology. After graduation, he spent a year working outside the veterinary profession before deciding to pursue his dream of becoming a veterinarian. He moved north to St. Paul, MN where he attended and received his DVM from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. After finishing veterinary school, he moved to South Carolina to start his career. Dr. Harris’ professional interests include preventive care, internal medicine, and cardiology. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Harris enjoys spending time with his spouse Susie (Foxbank’s very own Dr. Han) and their various pets. They have two dogs, a rabbit, a gerbil, and a bearded dragon. In his free time Dr. Harris also enjoys spending time at the beach or out boating, biking/hiking, watching his favorite shows, and reading fantasy novels.

Lauren has been working in the veterinary field for over 15 years now. She has always had a love for animals and originally wanted to become a Veterinarian; however, plans changed and she went down the veterinary technician route and enjoys every minute of it. Recently, she has come to enjoy handling and working with pocket pets and reptiles, they are slowly gaining a special place in her heart. Lauren has 5 pets: 2 dogs-Athena and Khaleesi and 3 cats- Domino, Toro and Little man. She enjoys spending her time off with her husband and son who is growing like a weed!

Lacey grew up in southwest Virginia but moved to the Charleston area in 2013 with her husband Derek. Together they share a home with their 2 sons, Jase and Luke, and 4 dogs. They have two Dalmatians, Pongo and Marshall, a Min Pin, Prancer, and a Schnazuer, Clarice. Lacey attended Trident Technical College, where she graduated with honors from the Veterinary Technology Program in 2022. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and is a Certified Pet Stylist.

Jessica is originally from Freehold, New Jersey, and has grown up passionate about helping and working with animals. She has worked in the industry since 2017 and graduated from the Trident Technical College Veterinary Technician Program Spring 2023, becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician. When she is not out being a hero to all animals, she enjoys any outdoor activities (hiking, kayaking, etc.) and being the best mom to her Shiba Inu, Cali Rae!

Paige has 2 pups; Oaks and Elle, and one spicy cat; Ivy. Some of her hobbies are spending time with her animals, family and traveling whenever she can. She is also getting more involved with hunting and vehicles, thanks to her boyfriend Hayden, who is a lineman at Santee Cooper. Paige loves the beach as well as the mountains. She is currently enrolled at Penn Foster to become a Licensed vet tech.

Hannah Thepaut is from Marietta, Ohio and attended Coastal Carolina University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Political Science. When she isn’t at Foxbank, you can find her involved in anything and everything related to animals. Hannah has four dogs (2 pit bulls, a golden, and a Carolina Dog) and three cats.

Amber has had a passion for furry critters ever since she was a little girl. She was originally born and raised in Albemarle, NC, but relocated to Summerville, SC with family almost ten years ago. Amber knew she wanted to work with animals, and shortly after arriving in SC, she started working for a boarding kennel. She did this for 4.5 yrs before moving on to work in emergency vet med as a CSR for the past 5 years. She loves the feeling of helping those in the worst of times. When she’s not working, she can be found exploring new trails with her Husky Aurora, with family, or simply relaxing at home.

Jana’ was born in Arkansas but grew up in the Carolinas. In 2018, she proudly earned her high school diploma from James Madison High School. Jana’ is currently working towards furthering her education and pursuing her childhood dream of becoming a veterinary technician. Jana’ has a deep affection for animals and all things Disney. In her free time, she cherishes moments spent with her loved ones, as well as her own furry companion, a yorkie named Paris.
